I think ai-generated memes are largely subjective in terms of interpretation. They're interpreted subjectively. There's many different ways the meme could be interpreted, but each person only interprets it one of the ways.
Because they lack clarification.
They lack sufficient repetitiveness in the idea presented to get the singular idea across, whatever it may be.

As AI gets overused for all sorts of content, AI generated works will soon grow stale. We'll form a distaste towards AI-generated works AND works which merely look or feel like AI generated works. AI is based off of all the most famous arts at the time, so they're the first group of people that will get scapegoated. Although, AI will be trained on different art styles, alleviating the trope of "looks AI-generated" largely.
AI is making a real bad name for itself as an artist and a real good name for itself as a tool.

One thing I'm really excited for is when AI gets good enough to bring costs down for game making. It will be tremendously efficient at asset production (and already is to some extent!).
So indie game development is going to get EVEN BETTER than it already is. You thought Noita was cool? Imagine if the Noita devs didn't have to make their own assets at all!

I'm more inclined to use ML for automating testing. Google made an API for it, which I promise to get to.

"rare good hn comment" -- kate
"As a C programmer I spent a lot of time creating custom collections: arrays, linked lists, ... Then in the 1990's, C++ with templates came along, and had it all built in. I feared this, initially: Some technical fears, e.g. would the compiler produce something reasonable? Deeper ones were psychological: Would I still have interesting work to do? Looking back on these worries makes me look silly. Of course there was interesting programming work left after I stopped manual collection creation. In fact, it forced me to level up, made me more productive. Today, I consider a language without built-in collections as inferior. Technology did this to all of us again and again. Banks had rooms full of human computers, calculating interests on paper. They were obsoleted by mainframes calculating a whole bank's worth of interests in less than a week. Then the spreadsheet came along, where people could simulate a week of finance batch runs in minutes. I think writing is safe. We will still value people capable of communicate a book worth of ideas. Only now there is a tool capable of taking angry word salad and turning it into readable sentences. We all have to go through an uncomfortable time leveling up, and in 5 years ChatGPT is the new normal and our worries will look silly."

Like yellow dots on your printer paper, this new process fingerprints your Stable Diffusion generations.
Unlike yellow dots, this should be easily bypassable simply by using inpainting/outpainting.
On the other hand, this could be potentially used as an incredible form of steganography.

BY THE WAY Open Assistant is OUT and WORKING as we speak! It was released two months ago, so sorry for being so late on the uptake.
I tried it myself asking it what Joe Biden's birthdate was and it passed with flying colors: Not only did it give additional information about Joe Biden's origins, it also got all of that information CORRECT in accordance to Wikipedia.

Stable diffusion is now capable of running in realtime (google SDXL Turbo) and because of that the price of using it has dropped to FREE. Try out the full suite at https://app.leonardo.ai/live-canvas today! You'll need to sign up, but that's all.
