How does the link feature work?

So let's say instead of posting a link like https://example.com I want to post a linked word in a sentence. Is that possible? I don't see an obvious way to modify the [url] tag.

You can wrap it

[url=https://example.com]linked word[/url]

those aren't totally supported bcuz people can hack the forum wid them... SMF has an option for limited html... but it's not onn
