All of sudden the power cut out and a hot pink glow came from his bedside window.

"What have the god damn neighbors done this time" he thought as his phone screen lights up to signal that it is no longer charging.

That's when I heard the hum.

The hum... of 300 cat boys!

Angel tried to imagine what could be outside so he can decide whether it is safe to go to the window to take a look for himself.

He recognized the oh-so-familiar hum, but what was usually a a single sound of satisfaction from scritches sounded like a choir, or a parade.

All the fear he had disappeared as he dashed towards the window to see if he might be able to join what's going on outside.

Yes it was 300 cat boys, but the hum was the dirge of the dead.  300 demon catboys escaped from the bowels of hell!

Angel froze still in order to not draw attention to himself as he tries to decide what to do next.
