The 2nd richest man in the world, CEO of Oracle, Larry Ellison said his company Sensei was going to affordably feed the entire world with greenhouses using AI. He bought Lanai, one of the islands of Hawaii, and over the past 10 years he's spent $500 million to grow lettuce which costs $24 per pound. The greenhouses were designed for a desert climate, built by a greenhouse company from Israel. Unfortunately for these genius billionaires, Hawaii is a very humid tropical rainforest, so the greenhouses they developed mold and broke down because they couldn't handle the high humidity.
How is this the way that resources get allocated??????? The market knows best? Lol
