Yeah, I really want to have some sort of autonomous boat for monitoring aquatic life at Wetfish's nature preserves. In the video he mentioned potentially doing a kickstarter to create a vacuum formed polycarbonate RC boat hull. That would be really cool because it would be clear so you could put cameras in the hull pointing down into the water.

it would be really easy to just do the vacuum form yourself. vacuum forming is super easy and can be done with a pretty simple setup

This guy made a (relatively) inexpensive drone to spread seeds over large areas. It's made from off the shelf components and can be assembled for less than $1000

This guy strapped a bunch of solar panels to a sheet of foam and made it fly around

I supported this kickstarter!! Since the project got over 400% of the original funding goal, he's now designing an entire kit to build your own robot with tank treads

The kits are almost ready to order!!

He's been stress testing the design and it even works when driving on vegetation and sand!!!

This little thing is going to be PERFECT for roaming around on the wetfish nature preserves
