Folding@Home has to be one of the most beautiful things humans have ever done.

Buuut.. I won't use it as I'm afraid of computer temps.

i wouldnt worry about that unless your machine already has serious cooling problems

gpus in particular can take 100c or more before theres a problem

hi kayimbo

im here to help you with your points income

gotta get those rookie numbers up

would you like help?

you have lots of units which is good, but youre not getting paid hardly any points for them. This probably means either your QRB bonus isnt active, or theres something wrong with your gpu slot and youre not doing gpu units at all. Possibly both these things are true.

the log output from the log tab in the control gui is a good place to find out whats going on, so we could see what the problem is

YAM TIPPED FOR THIS POST

i got my gpu working by deleting the default cpu slot, saving, rebooting, and it then worked automagically.

We are definitely trending upwards quite strongly still

Fishes are still getting folding set up also, and existing folders are learning how to make their setup more efficient.

I just managed to get a cheap 5500xt reference card which i plan to dedicate to folding 24 7 until either we have a covid vaccine or it catches fire. So my main card can have a rest now and again, and when my computer is idle the 2 cards + cpu can all be working which should bring me into the 2mm PPD range.

That is if my power supply can take it, last time i tried this with a rx 580 it crashed all over the place, but i think that card was faulty any way.
