I understand having sex with someone a lot when you first start dating, but I cannot imagine any 20 year relationship where you continue to have sex that often.

Two people together for over twenty years (19 to 41), averaging sex once per day for most of that (with early years averaging more than once per day, last few years and a few in the middle with the average going down to less). Add in other partners over some of that time as well, with averages from twice per month to four times per week.

Is that that much? I'd be surprised if I wasn't above 1,000. I lost my virginity at 18 and am 28, so that's only an average of once every 3.65 days. Realistically, that's daily sex in my two real relationships, both lasting about two years, and occasional sex when not in a relationship.

Also, rachel, you've never had an SO want sex every day? That's kind of a starting point for "relationship material" for me...

The 2000-4000 crowd, on the other hand, is perfectly fine and normal.
