I never seen on the weather report its gonna rain 2 inches of dirt.  Who is dumping all this dirt onto the earth that houses and shit get buried in only a couple thousand years.

You've seen how much dirt is on your home's floors when you sweep them, right?  Nobody sweeps the outside.  That shit accumulates.
Historic stuff in the ground is just litter and nobody cleans it up.

buddy have you ever looked at a cliff? and then noticed the giant pile of dirt under the cliff?

the wind blows dirt around everywhere, little parts of rocks and trees break off constantly

people love to build their houses on flat spots. where do flat spots occur? in valleys

mountains erode into dirt and covers peoples houses in the valleys

i don't know that people are more inclined to build in valleys than not, but maybe buried ancient structures are more likely to be in valleys.  Its really weird think some places get a tenth of an inch of extra soil a year, or whatever the number is that winds up with shit literally buried underground.
