ECLIPSE THREAD

Who here is planning to travel to see the eclipse? Where are you going to go?

My plan is to head to Southern Illinois with an air mattress in my van, and I'm prepared to drive another few hundred miles one way or the other depending on what the weather forecast looks like.

Back when I was in my freshman year of highschool my earth science teacher told us about the eclipse. He was like "the next time there's going to be a major eclipse in the US is going to be in 2017, and if you can remember, everybody in the class is invited to come to an eclipse party at my house"

He said he's been inviting his students for years and he was curious how many people would remember and show up. Too bad I live 1600 miles away now, I totally want to go to his eclipse party.

Update: I just looked through the highschool directory and found his email. I sent him a message asking if he's still having the eclipse party, LOL

Any luck? And, if he's having it, are you going to make the trek out there?
Also, if he's 1600 miles away, I'm really hoping that he happens to be in my vague direction. :P
