This lake in the UK gets filled up by streams and randomly the water will all drain out through a sinkhole in the bottom. It can stay full for weeks and then drain abruptly in hours

Dried up stream starts flowing again after a thunderstorm suddenly dropped 0.4 inches of rain!!

Old growth forests stored tons of water and pumped it into the air, creating clouds hundreds of feet high, through the canopy
