all i know about electric arcing is that arcs can form over much longer distances in the air once the air is ionized, usually by dumping a shit ton of energy into it. i wonder how you would have two ionized paths from the same device, and send the arc 50 feet away instead of it just shorting out between the two points? v weird

I think it's because the air is acting as an insulator and the ionized beam from the laser is acting like a wire
