If you had to create an evil villain backstory, what would be the perfect set of scenarios played out to make them malice?

Some people may argue this, but I think a pretty effective backstory is a person experiencing some sort of extreme trauma that is beyond their ability to cope. I think most of the people who have belittled me in the past have been dealing with some kind of problem in their life that is beyond their ability to endure.
