ADA Request for Shitpost Central
« on: February 03, 2017, 11:21:01 am »
I would like to make an Americans with Disabilities Act request for a modification in your policies and procedures to have my background in Shitpost Central changed to a more accommodating one that will not trigger my health issues. I would like to ask that the background be the same one as the main directory of the forum, the plain gray colored one.

Unfortunately the ADA does not apply to websites that do not count as "public accommodations." A "public accommodation" is classified, in relation to webpages, as E-commerce or the web extension of any brick-and-mortar store. You can find the public accommodations list here:

Actually precedent has been set to define the ADA as encompassing all future technologies from the date of its inception decades ago.

Consequently, the Department is proposing to amend its title III regulation to expressly address the obligations
of public accommodations to make the websites they use to provide their goods and services to the public accessible to
and usable by individuals with disabilities under the legal framework established by the ADA. The proposed regulation
will propose the scope of the obligation to provide accessibility when persons with disabilities attempt to access websites
of public accommodations, as well as propose the technical standards necessary to comply with the ADA.

Seeing as WFO doesn't affect commerce, as you are not given the ability to purchase anything from the site, they do not need to be ADA compliant.
