Nobody has managed to articulate to me or even answer my questions on how floof is worse or even on the same level as the actively racist, bigoted, belligerent, and abusively mentally ill crazies we've had to deal with in the past. As per our discussion in #reef, the wetfish meta-moderation discussion channel, freefish and poomp are both secret channels that do not appear in the directory listing anymore.

Please note that in my post you quoted I was talking about floof, who is the topic of this thread. Not #poomp. Still, nobody has given me a straight answer on why floof should be banned, and everyone who wants him banned has just gone back to arguing with him in #freefish instead of doing something more productive with their time.

Maybe we need to have even more segregation. Someone could join #wetfish and see all sorts of non floof related stuff and get pretty turned off pretty quick.  We'd better make sure to start punishing people for any kind of horny outside of #pornfish and make a #transfish for trans issues/hormone stuff and a #skyfish for talking about the weather and a #coloradofish for talking about anything related to colorado and a #stonedfish for anytime anyone is talking about dudeweed and a #gamingfish for anyone talking about any kind of gaming and just make #wetfish a G rated memes and greetings/welcome/no cursing/vulgarity or anything too in depth.  We should start rate limiting the channels too so people can only say a few lines a day in main channels.  Oh god and the bots and their random shit, That could totally scare someone off who doesn't realize it's a bot!

You folks are right, we gotta take these potential conflicts and scary internet things more seriously if this IRC community is ever going to grow and truly hold onto any new quality members.
